Sniper rifles are essentially overpowered in any game. Despite the low fire-rate, the high damage makes up for it. Furthermore, mastering the sniper makes any player more or less invincible at the range.

We have all come across that unique player who will wield a sniper at any range. The worst part is that they even tackle the short ranges with dark scopes and quick flicks, rendering SMGs worthless.

Therefore, any game has to keep into account how they are handling their snipers. In Apex Legends, sniping is a pleasure, and this new glitch on the block is changing all the dynamics.

The Sentinel was previously not a glamorous gun. 70 damage on a sniper, with recoil and reload time, made it tedious to wield at any point in the game. Then came the Season 6 update, the Aftermarket Event, which changed a lot of things around the sniper rifle’s performance.

If you are unaware of the Sentinel, it is a bolt action sniper rifle. This new glitch turns the sniper into an automatic weapon by taking away the bolt-action animation. Therefore, the 70 damage per shot is now melting opponents down any range. It still doesn’t compare to the R-99, but no sniper rifle can definitely be this quick and deal so much damage at the same time. Watch this clip below, which demonstrates the power with which the Sentinel is functioning after the update.

Dataminers are suggesting that the game is going to introduce a new hopup. Apparently, the ‘Marksman Tempo’ will increase the fire-rate, and the bug is just a teaser of what’s going to come.
