As we move towards the future, cyber breaches are becoming more and more common. From massive corporations to mobile phones all the way to video games, all these are vulnerable to cyber breaches. Case in point: the very recent hacking of Apex Legends. Players, since this morning, have been witness to a strange message that pops up every time they complete a match. The message simply reads “Visit and repost savetitanfall.com”

Players reasonably have no answers regarding how something like this is even possible. But, the motive behind the hacker’s message is crystal clear. They want to save Titanfall.

Some players actually did visit the website mentioned in the message. It turns out, the page the site opens on has a post. The post disapproves of the way Titanfall has been treated. And the post also rebukes how the game is still being sold at an unplayable state.

It would be one thing if the hacker had just put a message in the game. But that’s hardly the case. Players have also experienced being unable to access any of the regular modes. And the hacker has put a new game mode in the game as well. The new game mode appears where limited times usually appear.

The hacker seems to be a pretty dedicated fan of Titanfall. The game has dropped massively in popularity and has too many issues. And maybe, all the hacker wants is to ensure the game is properly playable, but his approach in doing so is definitely worthy of condemnation. Players are not happy at all with the current situation of the game. But, hopefully, either the hacker will give up or Respawn will eliminate the hacker’s additions from the game.
