“Another Week of Painnnnn Awaits”- The Last of Us Fans Appalled After Viewing Bella Ramsey a.k.a Ellie Braving in the Winter in Episode 6

HBO Max’s prestige drama series based on Naughty Dog’s magnum opus, The Last of Us is garnering overwhelmingly positive reviews all over the board. However, the fans are very bittersweet towards the show as, though it is more than able to offer a very intriguing narrative, the show’s shock value is also very ‘traumatizing’. 

The last few episodes, especially episodes 3 and 5, are seen as some of the greatest moments in the history of television as the episodes delivered a prestige drama narrative. But the way the characters met their end and the emotions that were apparent in the episodes were too much for many to digest. 

The Last of Us fans are ready to be traumatized again

While the previous Last of Us episodes set a benchmark for the fans to build their expectations, the upcoming episode 6 is expected to be much more devastating than any of the previous ones. The new episode will reveal the first climax of the show. In this episode, Joel will be finally reunited with his brother.

The official Twitter page of The Last of Us, shared a behind the scene picture from the latest episode, giving a tease of what the fans could expect from the new episode. The image featured the show’s lead, Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in white snow-filled land. Many fans gave a nod to Bella’s previous major role in Game of Thrones, where snow or Winter had a major purpose.

The caption of the tweet also revealed the potential name of the episode, “Which way’s west?” The name followed the abstract phrase style naming theme of the series. Names of the previous episodes were, “When You’re Lost in the Darkness”, “Infected”, “Long Long Time”, “Please Hold My Hand”, “Endure and Survive”. 

The fans brace themselves for the upcoming trauma

The comment section of the tweet was filled with fans sharing how they have prepared themselves for another traumatizing ride. With memes, jokes, and some actually genuine-looking statements, Fans have shared that no matter what the show throws at them next, they will be prepared to take them head-on!
