Animal Crossing: New Horizons hasn’t got an update in a fairly long time, and players of the game think it’s about time they got one. If speculations are anything to go by, the August update might drop in the few days, before the beginning of August. The update hasn’t been confirmed yet, and nor is it expected to be huge. Then again, since the devs haven’t confirmed anything, there’s a very slim chance it might be big. But players shouldn’t get their hopes high.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – what to expect from the update?

Players of the game have only been met with disappointment, in terms of getting updates, before. They thought they were going to get a big one and didn’t. So it’s best not to expect a lot from the update.

The update can present itself in the form of a reveal/announcement trailer, a blog post, or even a tweet. Even though an announcement trailer would be nice, it’s unlikely to happen. The update will most likely be a blog post or a tweet that pertains to fireworks that the game will probably bring in August. And throughout the month of August players will get to enjoy the fireworks every Sunday.

Things were pretty much the same during last year’s August. And they are expected to stay that way on the fireworks front. That said, there might be some minor changes as well.

What players want

Players want new furniture and other items added to the game. They want an update that feels significant and breathes new air into the game. But, because not that much time has passed since the game saw its release, it is improbable that the devs will bring an update that changes everything.

The big update will certainly come at some point in the future, just not in the near future. The August update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as has been mentioned before, will likely release before the month has begun and is expected to bring minor changes and fireworks.
