Gaming’s greatest extravaganza began on 12th June. The Nintendo Direct presentation takes place on June 15th and players are looking forward to seeing more news about the Switch’s top-selling game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Nintendo released the last Animal Crossing update on April 28th. It included festivals like Museum Day, May Day, and Wedding season.

Gyroids have existed as both furniture items as well as NPCs in the Animal Crossing franchise. For instance, furniture gyroids were buried in the ground and had to be dug up. They also existed as NPCs in City Folk and New Leaf. We will hope to see them return in some shape or form in the upcoming update.

Legend of Zelda Crossover in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

With Legend of Zelda’s 35th anniversary being celebrated earlier this year on February 21, fans were disappointed when they did not receive any update from Nintendo regarding the milestone. Their presentation at E3 will be their opportunity to introduce some cool new Zelda-themed items and villages into the game. Given the success of their recent Mario update, it won’t be surprising to see them release something of that scale once more.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fence Customizations

Fence customizations are something that has been hinted at previously. Currently, you can unlock DIY kits and purchase them using Nook Miles. With all the recent customization features added to the game, it is very likely that we will see this added to the game.

Return of Brewster

Brewster is a pigeon NPC who is the owner of a coffee shop known as ‘The Roost’. In previous titles, players could work for the NPC and had to learn the residents’ favorite coffees in order to replicate them. Considering the lack of mini-games in New Horizons, an update introducing the Roost would be well appreciated by the community.

Paid DLC

One thing we have not seen so far is a paid DLC. The success of the Amiibo card promotion depicted how fans were willing to spend real money for in-game content. Thus, Nintendo could try their hand with a possible new storyline DLC and introduce an exclusive NPC.
