Animal Crossing is one of the most renowned Nintendo franchises. Its recent title, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, also performed tremendously in the number of unit sales on the Nintendo Switch. Owing to its success, Nintendo revealed that it became the second highest-selling title of all time.

Unfortunately, even after achieving such mind-boggling achievements, Nintendo announced it will no longer support ACNH with major updates. Meaning that developers will only introduce past events and items with no new content added for users to experience. Naturally, this triggered many veterans and they quit ACNH because of the developers’ lack of interest in New Horizons’ fanbase.

Although many veterans are complaining about the lack of in-game content, some beginners are happy with their New Horizons journey. They are trying their best to get their hands on all event-exclusive items and users will experience a bunch of seasonal events in July. Interestingly, the first seasonal event of July, Tanabata, has already arrived in ACNH. Read here to know more about the event.

Starcrossed Day, or Tanabata as it’s known in Japanese, is a special event that occurred in previous Animal Crossing games. However, unlike its predecessor titles, Nintendo didn’t introduce it as a major event in New Horizons. Although Tanabata is not an official event in ACNH, players can still purchase Bamboo Grass from the Nook Stop for a limited time.
