Animal Crossing: New Horizons – How to stop villagers from visiting your house

With users unable to decorate their house when a villager comes to their house, players have now begun to find some workarounds for this annoying issue. Luckily, there are a few tricks to get them to leave immediately if you have to decorate your house uninterrupted and in peace.

Work in other rooms

The top way to get rid of these unwanted villagers is to work in a room that’s not the main room. Basically, if a player is working in a room, that’s not their main room, the villagers will think that there is no one in the home.

However, those who choose to pet them are in great luck. If a villager chooses to visit your house, the cockroaches will scare them off and ultimately they will leave immediately. Who knew such a small creature can be so helpful, right?

Leave your house yourself

The best way to be alone is to leave the house by yourself. Just head out of the door and the guest will get a hint that they are not welcome here and ultimately they will also leave immediately. Just ignore them and within a few seconds, they will leave.
