The museum can now be upgraded at a rapid pace, as compared to previous updates. The community will no longer have to spend countless hours trying to upgrade the same building by farming fossils bells and more. The traveling merchant, Redd, can be visited to circumvent your journey from tent to massive museum building without ever making donations.

You can visit Redd and strike the best deal all of winter and upgrade your museum from tent to massive building with an art gallery. You will only have to spend around 5k bells in making the upgrades, which will definitely save a lot of time for new players. This is definitely going to streamline things for newer players as compared to veteran players. However, there is a catch, if you have already upgraded the building from the tent phase, then you cannot use the offer. You will have to go the old school ways of donating fossils and critters to upgrade the building.
