Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that provides players with the opportunity to express their creativity by using in-game items. This isn’t the first time a player has attempted to create a Mario-inspired obstacle course. But this one does manage to stand out and is definitely one of the best ones.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons: is this the best Mario-themed obstacle course?

Mario is arguably the most popular character in video game history. This popularity can be attributed to the Super Mario games. And this player’s tribute to the game is nearly flawless. He keeps all the fundamental aspects of the Mario games. Everything from the floor, the flowing titles with the question marks, the Koopas all the way to mushrooms and the green pipes, this player manages to get a lot right.

There are also small islands/blocks on the water, and this is definitely something gamers will remember from the Mario Games. In Mario, these isolated bits of land were an essential part of the game. Gamers who played those games will remember jumping on these bits of land to get to the next bit of the side-scroller. The Animal Crossing New Horizon player knew that without using those islands, his obstacle course wouldn’t be complete, and he made the right choice by using them.
