Animal Crossing: New Horizons is an open-world game that tests its users’ creative skills. New Horizons is not a competitive game, and players can progress at their own pace and build their islands with unique ideas. Some like to enhance the overall look of their island, while others try to enhance the inner beauty of their house.

Furthermore, the 1.10 update for New Horizons has brought a lot of content for players. Several new seasonal events and some old events are returning to ACNH.

The future of Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The 1.10 update wasn’t as significant as previous updates, but it showed how Nintendo is planning New Horizons’ future. The developers plan to handle future events by refreshing old events and adding new items. The update didn’t introduce additional features, but some data miners have already leaked some of Nintendo’s upcoming strategies for the future.

Some data miners have leaked upcoming content like fence customization and museum upgrades. Nintendo will add two new museum upgrades that may come in the upcoming update. The two upcoming upgrades seem to be two standalone buildings. Most likely, the museum shop and museum cafe may get added.

There’s a possibility that with the upcoming changes to the museum, Celeste may get added to the museum shop as well. She will sell gold tools to players at a very reasonable price. The developers may bring a new building to the game as a museum cafe where players can enjoy and vibe. The cafe would be incomplete without Brewster; therefore, Brewster may also arrive at ACNH.

In addition to that, there are also rumors flowing all over the internet that players will see some kind of island expansions or sort of upgrade to the beach.

Some are suggesting that it would be a nice second smaller island while others are speculating it to be a larger area where they can further swim and dive into the sea.

Indeed, this would be an amazing addition, as most players are already running out of space to decorate their islands. If players get a new small island, they will be able to decorate it with the recently added 1.10 event-exclusive items as well. Naturally, these are all just leaks, so take it with a grain of salt. It’s not confirmed whether Nintendo will introduce it in the next patch or not.
