Every secret cooking recipe in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The cooking mechanic was introduced with the 2.0 update. In order to cook in New Horizons, players first have to head to a stove or cooker with the correct ingredients to cook the desired item. Moreover, Nintendo introduced a total of six different crops for users to grow on their island:
- Pumpkin.
- Tomato.
- Carrot.
- Wheat.
- Potato.
- Sugarcane
They can find the cooking recipes from daily balloon presents, villagers, special characters, message bottles, and much more. However, Nintendo introduced more cooking recipes that can only be unlocked by fishing. If you become successful at catching a particular fish, you will immediately get an idea for a new recipe on the spot.

Moreover, there are a total of 15 new cooking recipes you can learn from fishing. Below are all the fish lists through which you can learn different cooking recipes:
- Anchovy: Anchoas al ajillo and Sardines in oil.
- Barred knifejaw: Barred-knifejaw carpaccio.
- Blue marlin: Carpaccio di marlin blu.
- Dab: Karei no nitsuke.
