A major element of fun in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming up with unique designs using existing cosmetics. The game has a variety of rugs, mats, wallpapers, etc. that players can use creatively.

Furthermore, Nintendo has introduced a major quality of life update with the addition of the Custom Design Pro Editor + and the Custom Design Portal to Nook phones. Since then, players have used the additional 50 custom design slots to create new umbrella illusions, new clothing, and other decorative accessories.

Recently, YouTuber Tania-Heath Horizons uploaded a video showcasing the surf-camper aesthetic she built on her island. She describes the design as a surfer couple’s getaway camping trip. Her channel is filled with design guides that will surely accentuate your island.

She begins by placing a jasmine flower rug which acts as the camping mat. It also serves as a guide for the dimensions of the entire build. In order to finish the mat, she uses a jute rug at the top.

For building the camper van itself, Tania starts by placing two stalls along the length of the mat. These stalls have the same design as a mat to match the theme. Next, she uses @maaaco_acnh’s design to build the body of the van. The front of the camper van is created using a diner sofa.
