Here’s how the new ordinances will work in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The next major update of New Horizons is all set to bring old and new features to the game. Moreover, fan-favorite villagers in Katrina, Brewster, and more will make their way into the game. Fans will also get a chance to enjoy the community’s favorite feature in ordinances that were originally introduced with New Leaf.
These new elaborate features will allow players to alter the island with four unique ordinances: Beautiful Island Ordinance, Early Bird Ordinance, Night Owl Ordinance, and Bell Boom Ordinance. Each one offers something fantastic.
Beautiful Island Ordinance: This one allows your island to gain enhanced beauty, which will eliminate cockroaches, trash being spawned along with seaweed. It is perfect for players who enjoy an island that doesn’t require a regular touch-up.
Early Bird Ordinance: This ordinance will compel shops like Nook’s Cranny and Able Sisters to open a few hours earlier. Moreover, it will also compel villagers to wake up much earlier, making your island come alive in the morning phases.

Night Owl Ordinance: Much like the name suggests, Night Owl will force Nook’s Cranny and Able Sisters to stay open a few hours longer. It will also affect villagers’ behavior as they will now stay up all through the night.
Bell Boom Ordinance: This last ordinance will greatly help your economy as items will sell for a higher price and allow you to earn more bells.

At any given moment, fans will be able to activate these ordinances by interacting with Isabella. Unsurprisingly, it will come attached with a fee that you will need to pay each time.
