Yes, we are talking about Starbucks. Interestingly, the iconic and historical coffeehouse chain just made a brewing crossover with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, all thanks to a player’s sheer efforts.

Starbucks turned into ‘Starbonks’ in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The popularity of Starbucks is massive across the globe, due to the craze of the coffee served by the outlets under this chain. In case anyone is not fully aware of its origin, the company was founded fifty years ago in 1971. It is currently headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Not to mention that it is the world’s largest coffeehouse chain as well.

Probably that’s the main reason why millions of people are avid consumers of this brand. Out of them, one person recently tried to recreate the ambience of a Starbucks outlet in the Nintendo Switch exclusive Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Apparently, this person was a big fan of the game also and eventually decided to bring a unique crossover of the two. They shared the same on the Reddit platform.

As one can see, the recreation of Starbucks inside the online simulation title looks truly awesome. The interiors, the order counter, and the placement of seats resemble the way one usually feels like while being in an actual outlet.

Moreover, to give it a unique name, the Animal Crossing player came up with a term called ‘Starbonks’, based on the lore of the Nintendo game itself. However, it’s still funny to speak out this name since it obviously gives out a reference to the Seattle-based coffee brand itself. New Horizons is now available worldwide for the Switch console.
