Reddit user’s confession to their villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons goes wrong

Nintendo has designed villagers in New Horizons very adorably with cute interactions. Furthermore, developers have introduced many types of personalities for villagers in the game. Villagers are divided into eight personality types: sisterly, normal, peppy, snooty, smug, cranky, lazy, and jock.

Different personalities of villagers motivate users to interact with them more. Moreover, developers only allow users to have 10 island residents in ACNH. Naturally, with time, players also develop an attraction towards their villagers and think more of them than just NPCs.

Recently, one user shared how their villager responded to them after they confessed their feelings to them. Beanyot (Reddit User) confessed their feelings to their favorite villager, Alfonso, by saying “I Love You.” Unfortunately, things didn’t go as the user planned and Alfonso replied, “Well, time to go home! Thanks for having me, Poggers!”
