Update 1.11 of Animal Crossing New Horizons was a fantastic addition to the title. In the past 8 months, fans have seen various important festivals being celebrated, and each one offered amazing rewards. From great DIY recipes, new clothing collections, changes to the island, and so on.
However, there are still more festivals lined up for the final few months of 2021. The holiday season is right around the corner and surely Nintendo is planning something big. The game already contains Halloween items even though the studio has made no such announcements. Fans can expect to see a blog post that will shed light on everything that is being worked on for the upcoming update.

What will the upcoming update for Animal Crossing New Horizons bring forward?
Thus far, Nintendo has routinely shared a roadmap of everything that is in the pipeline. In a similar fashion, the last leg of the 2021 update will also follow the same route. Great festivals fall in the latter section of the year like Easter, Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s eve, and a lot more.
If you have been playing the game since last year, then you would have some idea about things to come. Nintendo has already brought back all the festivals and events that were rolled out last year. This clearly suggests that the last leg of the year will be more or less the same. Halloween items are already in the game, so the next update should mark the additions of more items.
Last year, fans celebrated Turkey Day and Toy Day on the island. These are not major festivals and they are not even in the game files. As per the rumors, the update for September might be a minor one and might not entice the fans.

Conversely, Nintendo has confirmed that it is indeed working on a major update. This means that the upcoming updates for September and October might not carry any weight, but things will pick after that. November and December are going to be the month that will receive a major content drop.
