When the early announcement for Battlefield 2042 was made ahead of its launch last year, the entire gaming community was thrilled. Following a long wait, they finally got the game at the end of 2021. But all that thrill and excitement turned into a massive disappointment following the game’s terrible performance.
After waiting for a long, some fans have had enough of the abysmal state of BF 2042. Hence, they’ve started an online petition against EA, so they can get refunds for the game.

Fans are hopeless for Battlefield 2042 and its future!
Industry insider and leaker Tom Henderson shared the information on his social media account. He informed the fans on Twitter about this petition that BF 2042 players have started.
There's now a petition from the Battlefield community to ask for refunds on Battlefield 2042.
I'm really surprised this disaster hasn't been picked up by more outlets tbh.https://t.co/ivdHYy4qyg

Speaking of the petition itself, then it was initiated by a person named Satoshi Nakamoto on Change.org. Titled ‘Allow Refund for Battlefield 2042 on All Platforms’, it says the following:
“EA’s release of Battlefield 2042 was a mockery of every customer who purchased this video game for $70 (USD) due to EA’s false advertising of this video game.
“Battlefield 2042 has costed consumers millions of dollars in damages and upset hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide.”
Furthermore, the petition also mentioned that EA didn’t deliver on various promises that it made prior to the multiplayer’s launch. And that many reports from the consumers called it “unplayable.”
Moreover, it also mentioned that signing this petition will take players “step closer to getting a refund on Battlefield 2042.”
As of this writing, the petitioner hasn’t included the false promises by EA that he referred to. He wrote that they will be added soon.
Well, the game has no other reason to blame than itself. Despite being one of the most awaited 2021 releases, it has indeed failed to live up to the expectations.
Meanwhile, as soon as the fans on Twitter noticed the initiative against BF 2042, they also came up with their own angry reactions.
Their needs to be more accountability across the board for games that don’t launch in the way they should. Imagine you buy a microwave and the company that made it told you that the door for it would come months later. You’d never buy it. And there’s regulations to prevent that.

I swore never to buy another Battlefield after the shitstorm BF4 released with. 2042 showed enough promise for me to stump up the £80 for the early access. From my point of view its an £80 lesson in never trusting anything that comes from DICE

I wish they would do this. I dodged a bullet with cyberpunk and they refunded for it. I really hope they give us our money back. I have no faith in @EA_DICE or the @Battlefield saga anymore

Sign it! This "live service" sht needs to be tested in court as well as the marketing for a broken game.

Im Asking a Refund Since 22th of November and they cancelled my refund (via Xbox Refunds) i Pre-Ordered the Game (Xbox One Version) and for me it was a Scam, unplayable, boring and feel like i wasted my money, i prefer playing Halo Infinite instead of Battlefield 2042 :/

Gamers need to get together in mass and petition Microsoft and Sony to either buy these companies and get that going or put a stop to the false advertising that too many studios are committing.
Most products that are broken should be returnable. Common sense.

I haven’t played it and thought the trailers look great, but the overwhelming negative comments about just how bad it is can’t be ignored. Hope everyone gets their money back if they want a refund. A lot of games seem to be releasing with faults currently 🤔
— Gaming Therapy (@_GamingTherapy) February 7, 2022
People just need to accept that they fucked up and made a bad purchase. You are never going to get a refund. Just take the L. Go play something else and pray to God that 2042 may be good enough to justify the money you spent one day.

That was my New Years resolution to be fair.

Trailer looks cool but after the beta there was no way I was paying money for that crap

That's fine, but they should give me my £68 back whilst we wait? I could invest that money for 2 years and make way more than the £68 they are holding onto and investing themselves. I'm happy to wait, but they should refund us all first. If it's good in 2 years I'll buy it back.
