God of War: Ragnarok won big during the game Awards 2022. It won so many awards that not winning The Game of the Year trophy did not even matter. The biggest win for God of War was its lead voice actor Christopher winning the Best Performance award.

And he even deserved it, his performance as series protagonist Kratos deserved as much recognition as it could get. While the game itself was the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation title. And it even won critical acclaim for its music, its story, and its excellent performances.
So, it did not come as a surprise when Christopher Judge finally won that award.
God of War voice actor Christopher Judge made a record when he accepted his best performance trophy
Christopher Judge was handed the trophy for the best performance by ever so brilliant Al Pacino himself. Tony Montana was there just to hand over to Kratos what he was owed by the gaming community. A well-deserved pat on the back.
Christopher Judge was understandably emotional. He accepted his trophy with grace and also took that chance to give Al Pacino a hug, and then he started his acceptance speech.
It was a speech for the ages, a speech where almost everyone was mentioned, his directors, co-actors, the producer of the game, and even Sony Santa Monica studio head.
He then moved on to his brother and eventually he crossed a 7-minute mark with his speech. Although his enthusiasm was understandable, the showrunners decided that they had to move the show forward. They started the music to remind Christopher Judge that he should finish his speech quickly.
Eventually, he did, but not before breaking the record of the longest speech at The Game Awards! His 7-minute and 59-second-long speech was the longest anyone had ever given on that stage.
Christopher Judge fans are not surprised
Even though it was a speech that was longer than usual, fans seem to understand. Some say it was a good speech and getting carried away like that shows how much a person cares for something. While some say that the speech probably cost Valve big money, thanks to their giveaway, where they were handing out a Steam Deck every minute during that award show.
At 7 minutes and 59 seconds, Christopher Judge holds the record for the longest speech in #TheGameAwards history.
