The Super Mario series is one of the most famous and oldest video game series. There has been a Mario game on every Nintendo console, from the NES to their latest hybrid console, Nintendo Switch. Moreover, Mario is also the official mascot for the Japanese video game company.

If Paper Mario was a GBA game

An avid Mario fan and Twitter user, Ninjamal, recently shared some photos of artwork created by them. Ninjamal created the classic Paper Mario in the artwork, but reimagined it as a GBA game. Grand Boy Advance is a 32-bit Nintendo handheld console released in 2001. So the pixel artist recreated scenes from the 16-bit game as 32-bit with GBA’s resolution of 240×160.

Meanwhile, Paper Mario is an action RPG game released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64 console. It was a fan-favorite video game console that the Japanese giants released in 1996. Nintendo never recreated the classic Paper Mario for future consoles, so seeing it with better graphics on another fan-favorite handheld console in the Big N history was excellent.
