Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been a very rough ride for the players so far. Although being visually stunning and integrated with an extremely well-designed storyline, it has been a victim of bugs and glitches. This also affected the gameplay so much that hours after its release, some features were even shut down for recalibration.

Although now the feature that got shut down for maintenance is back online, it seems that Activision is still far away from a perfect patch to make the game perfect. But why is it taking so much time?

The weapon attachment gets re-enabled in Call of Duty MWII

Just two days after its initial launch, Call of Duty was forced to disable its weapon attachment tuning until further notice. Now it seems that the feature is re-enabled by the developers with some additional protection for crashes. But even though they have been able to make this bug fix, there are still tons of them for PC users.

Apparently, the bugs have been very prominent in the PC version of the game. While some bugs hang the game for good, others completely crash it. It is also noticed that there are bugs that glitch the characters, making some weird animations or camera angles to play out.

Some fans have even found ways to cheat in the game by pinging other plays that allowed them to locate their enemies even behind walls. Although reports suggest that the feature that allowed this has been temporarily disabled, it seems the glitch had already attracted many players to grow their ranks in the game already.

Why are these patches taking so much time?

Although prominent glitches and bugs are being patched as soon as possible, it seems that a number of glitches on the PC version are still untouched. The main reason behind this can be the fact that most of the glitches and bugs are not yet identified completely, while the other reason can be the switch from an old engine to a new one might have caused the devs to lose the grasp of the actual source code.
