Quantum Error is an upcoming cosmic horror thriller, developed by TeamKill Media. In this first-person shooter, you play as a firefighter who has been called to manage a fire at a laboratory in San Fransisco. However, soon you discover that there’s more to the matter and start discovering sinister secrets of the lab’s true motivations.

The game’s premise has fans waiting eagerly, who believe that the game will have a new take on today’s corporate society. Its introspective approach to horror also piqued fans’ interest. However, the alleged performance difference between Xbox and PlayStation consoles stayed like an itch that can’t be rid of. The devs also said that they were having to make many changes to mitigate Xbox’s slower SSD speeds.

Now, finally, devs have come forward providing clarifications to this so the fans can calm down.

Devs clarify SSD speeds will play a pivotal role in user experience

In their tweet from July 23, Quantum Error devs have said that the game will run just as well graphically on both Xbox and PS consoles. However, the slower SSD speed of the Xbox is an issue and it needs to be managed accordingly. This clarification comes as a clarification as to why PS consoles will have seamless gameplay, while Xbox is likely to have a number of load screens.

The devs also clarified that a fast SSD is essential to play the game because of the nature of one of its boss fights that “…swaps levels instantaneously 4-5 times “. An SSD with better speeds can handle the fast graphic changes with relative ease compared to a slower one, the devs mention. A slower SSD may cause issues to the game to glitch and ultimately hamper the experience.
