The 48th People’s Choice Awards 2022 was a grand affair. Many big names in the entertainment industry were honored for their efforts and performance in various media. This year, the nominations had some massive names such as BTS, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and more. Even in such a star-studded show, MrBeast also managed to make the night his own.  

Jimmy Donaldson aka MrBeast is on a hot streak. He is collecting accolades and awards left and right. Besides lifting an award in The People’s Choice Awards, Jimmy also earned many accolades from the prestigious YouTube Streamy Awards 2022.

‘The People’s Choice Awards is an American awards show that recognizes and honors individuals for their contributions and performances in the entertainment field. The winners are chosen by the votes from the general public and the audience. The 48th year of the awards show was held on December 6, 2022, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

The award show has evolved a lot over the years. At first, it started as an award show exclusively for the talents of the movies, television, and music industry. But the contemporary setting of the show also honors individuals from the sectors of online content creation.

The most prominent category for online content creators is “The social star” award. This year the nominations for the award were:-

• Brent Rivera
• Charli D’Amelio
• Jay Shetty
• Khaby Lame
• Mikayla Jane Nogueira
• MrBeast
• Noah Beck

And without much surprise, the one who prevailed in this award was none other than the Millionaire Philanthropist YouTuber MrBeast.

But this wasn’t the only award that Jimmy won this year. In April, MrBeast won the “favorite male creator” award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. He was also featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 list. Even in the recently wrapped YouTube Streamy Awards 2022, Jimmy bagged many accolades. 

In Streamys, his and Mark Rober’s fundraiser effort to clean the Global Seas, #TeamSeas, won the “Creator for Social Good” award. Jimmy also won the most prestigious award of the night, “Creator of the Year”, which was also his third consecutive year as the winner.
