One of the biggest talking points in the last few months was the Red Dead Redemption Remake, coming for the current generation of consoles. What immediately set fans off was the massive asking price Rockstar set at $60. Just a few weeks after it, Rockstar has a discount running for RDR 2. Now, it’s just $19.19 on the US PlayStation store for PS Plus users, and $17 on GameStop.

The new price is a big drop from the asking price Rockstar had for the first game. What makes it even more exciting is the content RDR2 has to offer. There is no DLC or added content. The game is simply good enough to make you play through for hours on end.
With RDR 2, Rockstar Games created a cinematic masterpiece, arguably even better than the GTA franchise. To begin with, RDR 2’s graphics are up there with some of the best games available across all platforms. What really makes it more than a Wild West experience is the story it offers. Just as the game implies, there is a lot of redemption, especially when you look at Arthur Morgan’s and John Marston’s character arcs.

The news comes just as Rockstar Games spoke about Red Dead Redemption 3. Although the title is still far off from release, and GTA 6 is clearly the higher priority at the moment, the news is still enough to excite fans. The prospect of returning to the Wild West of RDR2 to relive what will come is the only thing to do for fans. What makes the entire deal sweeter is the price drop currently on offer. For gamers who have not had a chance to experience Red Dead Redemption 2, this is simply perfect timing.
