Ever since its release in November 2022, Call of Duty Warzone 2 has witnessed a trend that’s been going downwards gradually. Its battle royale format has mostly received mixed reactions. Simply because the new approach taken by the devs has made loyal fans disappointed and frustrated at the same time. Yes, the title is quite engaging in certain aspects, but the lack of appealing features has been a growing problem.
Well, now it appears as if more players are losing interest in the game sooner than expected. It becomes quite evident from a recent poll conducted by a streamer who wanted to know if the existing player base of Warzone 2 would like to switch back to its predecessor or not in case certain elements are brought back for the original Warzone (now Caldera). Undoubtedly, the result of this poll was quite interesting, to say the least.

Compared to the first battle royale, released by Activision in 2020, Warzone 2 has seemingly turned out to be a failure. It hasn’t succeeded in winning over the players in the same way its predecessor did. Recently, a popular insider and streamer, known as ModernWarzone, took to Twitter to find out if Warzone 1 is still missed by the fans or not, given the state of the latest installment.
The content creator revealed that he had conducted a poll to know if Call of Duty players will return to Warzone 1 in case they received the map of Verdansk and Rebirth Island once again. Surprisingly, the majority of them showed a heavy interest in this possibility. Have a look at the result from the poll below:

As one can see, out of the 48,275 people who voted, 83 percent are ready to switch back to Warzone Caldera in case it gets back the iconic Verdansk and the popular Rebirth Island.
Well, it’s quite obvious that the devs won’t do this in order to prevent the players from leaving Warzone 2.
