Jimmy Donaldson, a.k.a MrBeast, is one of the biggest influencers on the planet. With over 100 million subscribers and a massive fanbase, Jimmy is a brand of his own. So it is unsurprising that other big corporates would want to acquire or achieve what Jimmy has. And one of them even actually made an offer for acquisition.

As reported by Business Insider, an undisclosed buyer made a $1 billion offer to MrBeast for his brand, but Jimmy declined it. He said it would take at least $10 billion for him to sell. But according to American Entrepreneur and Motivational Speaker GaryVee, even $10 billion is “Not enough”.
GaryVee claims MrBeast made a good decision
In a recent video, Gary talked about how he believes that MrBeast passing on the $1 billion offer is a great move because Jimmy’s brand is worth more than a billion. As it is not just an enterprise, but a large community of fans that are interconnected with it. Jimmy just didn’t only make a successful company that can just be sold off, but he made a community of people who love and trust the entity.

In his blog, Gary wrote, “MrBeast understands and what I’ve understood my entire career is that attention is the game, and content at scale with real community building is how you win.” In his opinion, “passing on $1B isn’t a flash in the pan… it’s just a good decision.” Gary understands what it takes to be successful in the social media scene and, according to him, MrBeast can be way bigger in the future than he currently is.
MrBeast’s worth is way more than billions
Vee also explained the reason for his take where he mentioned other creators like, Emma Chamberlain, Logan, and KSI are some of the entities who are not only YouTubers. They are creating content and building massive communities and followings. Then they deploy commodities like clothes, accessories, food items, and many more. These commodities are built on the back of actual communities that the influencers made with care and passion.

These massive followings are the actual assets that the influencers have. So when people judge Jimmy for passing on such a massive deal, they have to understand that Jimmy knows his worth. He knows he can’t just sell the attention that he has earned with hard work. Because in the world of social media, attention is everything.
