As per Steam’s public statistics page, New World reached 913,634 peak concurrent players, which is the game’s all-time high as well. However, the game is still playing catch up with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive had over 866,000 concurrent players at its peak a while ago. When New World was launched, the game had 700,000 concurrent players and has been adding new players continuously.

However, players have been facing lengthy server queues and other issues due to swarms of players logging in. The good thing is Amazon has been taking steps to solve these issues, and the developers have multiplied the number of servers for New World since the game was launched.

In a tweet, the studio stated that its teams have been working around the clock and setting up more servers to enhance the online experience. The company even said, “…and [we] will continue to do so until we stability wait times.

If you are a new player logging into New World for the first time, you can select a server that has low or no wait times. Currently, New World is only available for PC. But seeing the game’s popularity, we might see it getting ported to other platforms soon.
