There are only a few days until the much-awaited Hogwarts Legacy hits the shelves, as Avalanche’s upcoming action role-playing game is set to release on February 10. But fans who pre-purchased the game would be able to enjoy this wizarding game 72 hours before the official release.
This upcoming game is going to be set in the wizarding world created by author J. K. Rowling in her “Harry Potter” novels. This popular fantasy novel series has already been adapted into successful films. But this game would have an original plot set a century before the events of the novels. Fans might not be able to see famous characters from films or novels. However, the magical beasts would be featured in Hogwarts Legacy.
Dragon

The first name that springs to mind while discussing mystical creatures is Dragon. It is one of the most well-known magical animals and has even appeared in the ‘Wizarding World’. Philosopher’s Stone introduced the Potterheads to a Dragon. These magical beasts also appeared in later movies like Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows.
So how could these magical beasts not appear in the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy? The first teaser for this action role-playing game revealed a Dragon. Players might have to awaken the brave wizard in them to face these fire-breathing beasts.
Graphorn
This creature was first introduced to the Potterheads in the first Fantastic Beast movie, where Newt Scamander was raising the last pair of Graphorns. These magical beasts were sought for their horns, which are utilized in the production of numerous potions. They are one of the most endangered creatures in the Wizarding World.
These Graphorns will also appear in the upcoming action RPG “Harry Potter” game. It was also one of the first magical monsters revealed to appear in Hogwarts Legacy, alongside Dragons. It would be cool to be able to tame a Graphorn.
Centaur
Centaurs are among the most well-known mythical creatures. Everyone has heard of these half-human and half-horse beings. Fans first witnessed one in Philosopher’s Stone, when Harry Potter met Firenze, a Centaur who later taught Divination at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
These supernatural creatures could also play a significant role in Hogwarts Legacy, as the wizarding school is filled with Centuar monuments. Furthermore, several Centaurs were shown in the Hogwarts Legacy trailers.
Fwooper
Fwooper is one of those magical beings about whom little is known except that their high-pitched cries can drive someone insane. As a result, these magical birds are sold after being imbued with a Silencing Charm. Further, Fwooper makes a brief appearance in the first Fantastic Beasts film.

These magical birds will appear in the upcoming “Harry Potter” game, and perhaps fans will finally get to learn more about Fwoppers. These birds appear briefly in one of the Hogwarts Legacy trailers, much like how they did in the movies.
Hippogriffs
When talking about the Wizarding World and magical beasts, one creature that everyone wanted to meet was Hippogriff. These are prideful half-eagle, half-horse-like creatures. Every fan remembered when Harry Potter first met a Hippogriff named Buckbeak in the third novel or film, The Prisoner of Azkaban.
These prideful magical beasts are also available in Hogwarts Legacy. Further, a recent gameplay clip showcased at the SYFY’s Harry Potter marathon revealed a white Hippogriff named Highwing. Players will also be able to ride these magical creatures for transportation. Additionally, those who pre-purchased the game would get access to an Onyx Hippogriff mount.
Niffler
Remember the fluffy magical beast from the Fantastic Beast films? Nifflers are furry, kleptomaniac creatures renowned for stealing a huge amount of sparkling objects that they can store in their little pockets. Many people use these fascinating creatures to search for hidden treasure.
Nifflers are among the various fantastic beasts which would feature in the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy. These fur balls would be in the game were first revealed by the early teasers of the game. It would be interesting to see if players can use Niffler to discover items they can’t find on their own.
Mooncalf
Fans might remember Jacob Kowalski feeding a herd of small magical beasts with smooth grey skin, long necks, bulging eyes, and four spindly legs. Well, that creature was Mooncalf, which is famous for dancing under the moonlight. Further, these harmless magical beast’s dung before sunrise can help magical plants grow stronger and faster.
These adorable, big-bulging-eye beasts have also made an appearance in the Hogwarts Legacy. Mooncalf was mentioned in the first teaser for this wizarding game. Furthermore, players might be able to use Mooncalf to cultivate herbs in the Room of Requirements.
Troll
Remember the first Harry Potter movie, where a Troll attacks the Golden Trio? These magical creatures are known for being incredibly strong, but that strength came at the price of intelligence. After all, Trolls are also known for being immensely stupid. But these Trolls can also be used to guard places, like treasure or forbidden items.
The upcoming game’s trailers have revealed that the players might have to face Trolls. The players might fight a Troll while exploring a mysterious location to unravel an ancient secret.
Thestral
Thestrals are the most well-known four-legged winged creatures in the Potterverse, following Hippogriffs. It is difficult to see one with one’s own eyes until one witnesses someone’s death. Further, Thestrals are very intelligent beings that can travel to a location only by hearing about it.
These scary-looking but amazing winged skeletal horses can be found in Hogwarts Legacy. The trailers showed that players can see them, meaning the protagonist has seen someone die. Furthermore, players can use these beasts for transportation. In addition, the Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy would include a Thestral mount.
Acromantula

If someone is scared of spiders, then The Secret of Chambers was probably the least favorite movie for them. This film introduced fans to Acromantula, a gigantic spider that was a friend of Hagrid. These enormous spiders are used to guard treasures. They are known to have a hunger for humans, as we saw them trying to eat Harry and Ron.
The Hogwarts Legacy trailers have revealed that Acromantula will appear in this upcoming game. These magical spiders might be watching over mysterious locations in the game. The players would need to explore those locations for unraveling secrets, and might have to fight Acromantula while doing so.
