Alan Wake was released in 2010 and became a landmark title in the survival horror genre. The game told the story of weird characters and the adventures of fiction writer Alan Wake. This game set new standards and prompted serious community requests for a sequel.
Now, Remedy Entertainment looks to make things more challenging with the release of Alan Wake 2. Along with its possible run-time, the devs have shared more details about the game’s DualSense support to make the game feel more immersive.
DualSense support. For example, "feel" rain patter on the controller. Each weapon feels different on the trigger, so a shotgun will be markedly different from the crossbow. You can ofc turn this stuff off if you want. Also supported on PC if you use the DualSense there.

Remedy Entertainment’s Thomas Puha disclosed that Alan Wake 2 will come with DualSense support for both the PlayStation 5 and PC. This will enable players to “feel” the game to a greater degree. Using this feature, Alan Wake 2 will replicate in-game rains on the controllers. Moreover, the DualSense support will also ensure that different weapons feel differently when fired in Alan Wake 2.

While the feature can be turned off, fans believe it will be something to experience in its entirety. A shotgun will feel very different from a crossbow using the DualSense controller. The prospect of actually feeling the rain against the body of Alan Wake is something we look forward to and believe will elevate the gaming experience significantly.
Alan Wake 2 devs promise a whole lot of things
