Remedy is back with another great addition to their survival horror franchise Alan Wake. And this title is Alan Wake II. From single-player story mode to more survival elements, Alan Wake II takes fans to a truly dystopian world. However, the title had multiple issues! Yes, from technical glitches to fans’ criticism about the game’s combat mechanism being too ‘samey’, there are many. And developers are in no mood to sit back and relax hearing that.

Alan Wake II might be Remedy’s first attempt at a survival-horror theme, but the company is making sure about a crazily good experience. As proof of that, Remedy announced that they fixed the game’s most annoying issue finally.

Thomas Puha, Alan Wake II’s communication director took his official X (formerly Twitter) to share that the team finally solved the game’s annoying and critical issues before it hit the market- “I can confidently say that most of the critical, annoying issues (hi, Echo in IN08) in Alan Wake 2 that popped up for reviewers, we have fixed in the last 48 hours. We still got a few hours left :)”

The title’s communication director, Thomas Puha, previously revealed a unique experience with the game. He mentioned that the title’s latest build had uncountable technical glitches, which bothered them for a long. While the IT team helped them to play a mission successfully, the fine-tuned sections crashed multiple times. However, the VIP presentation was finally saved by another QA hero.

It is not the first issue with Alan Wake II. Remedy had a blast at the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2023 with a great trailer of Alan Wake II. However, fans had somewhat mixed reactions to the game. Featuring a combination of live-action and gameplay, developers attempted to bring out the essence of the title’s dream reality, The Dark Place.

However, fans called the game’s combat too samey! Now, Alan Wake II’s director, Sam Lake revealed that this criticism impacted the team and they wanted to fix it. In addition, the team added something mind-blowing to influence the survival horror theme- “we really, really wanted to do more with interactive storytelling and merging gameplay with story and having elements of gameplay that are about the story.”

Alan Wake II: Crucial details

Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake II is the first survival horror title in the franchise. Published by Epic Games Publishing, Alan Wake II will offer the story of Saga Anderson/ Alan Wake in a third-person perspective. While developers are offering multiple single-player story modes, the title’s opening sequence can only be played as Saga. And the last sequence has to be played as Alan. How cool is that? While there is combat, players can still choose to access a total enemy-less gameplay known as Mind Place. Additionally, a dialogue tree system feature will be introduced to the franchise with this title.
