We’re just a few days away from the Alan Wake 2 global launch. The long-awaited survival horror will be the longest game made by Remedy Entertainment. While the game has been in the talks for over a decade, it was revealed to be developed for 4 years. With its predecessor being released in 2010, the community has much anticipated the upcoming release and what new nightmares it will come with.
Alan Wake 2 will be released on multiple platforms including consoles. While the game has piqued the interest of the community, console users have voiced their concerns about the game’s completeness. Now, a Remedy Entertainment official has come forward assuring fans that “great care” has been taken to design Alan Wake 2’s console version.

The devs had previously revealed that a small but dedicated group of 130 designers had put hard work into Alan Wake 2 for over 4 years. The first entry to the series redefined the survival horror genre and the new game is also poised to push things even further. Now, over concerns about how the game would play on consoles, Remedy Entertainment’s communications director had some assuring words for the fans.
Thomas Puha took to social media to claim that console users should just sit back and enjoy the game. Puha said that all the concern over Alan Wake 2’s console version has him smiling as he knows well that great care has gone to make the game run excellently on consoles.
He also mentions that the devs have focused on consoles. While this might raise more concerns for PC users, fans will have to wait just a little more to have some real data on their hands. However, Puha does believe that console users will be “very positively surprised” by how Alan Wake 2 will perform on their devices.
Folks worrying about the console versions of AW2… smh and I am smiling. As I've said, we've taken great care on consoles, focused on those. I think most of you will be very positively surprised.

If you’ve played the first Alan Wake title, you’d just how good the game was and what made fans keep coming back with requests for a follow-up. Remember those haunting opening lines from the game? The fact that they were a gift from Stephen King only made things hit closer to home.

It was recently revealed the Alan Wake 2 will come with DualSense support that would take immersion to new heights. Using this technology, players can “feel” the guns as well as the rain. Different guns will react differently on controllers, making moments and action sequences in the game have a more elevated experience.
DualSense support. For example, "feel" rain patter on the controller. Each weapon feels different on the trigger, so a shotgun will be markedly different from the crossbow. You can ofc turn this stuff off if you want. Also supported on PC if you use the DualSense there.
