Difficulty settings are a big deal for some gamers in survival horror games. Some always want to play their games on higher difficulty for those trophies and bragging rights, while others just want to have a breezy story mode and experience all the scary moments without the fear of succumbing and hitting a difficult wall and not being able to continue playing. It looks like Alan Wake 2 offers each type of gamer something to try out.
Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming horror game is set to feature three difficulty modes. Each would give a different kind of gamer something to choose from and enjoy.
Story
As the name here suggests, this mode would allow gamers to enjoy the story of this game. Just go through the game and enjoy some scares without worrying about being overwhelmed.
Balanced
Solving the mystery of Alan Wake 2 would now be mixed with challenging survival combat mechanics that would be nothing to scoff at. As with every survival horror game, the items would be in limited supply here.
Hard
Combat in this mode would be significantly more challenging. And supplies would be in very short supply. Players can expect to be very familiar with this game’s mechanics if they hope to complete the game in this mode.
