PlayStation has now formally invited all the fans to attend the PS Showcase 2023, which will be held on May 24 at 1 PM Pacific time. With this announcement, many have started speculating about what the Japanese company has in store. The industry insiders have also become active and are bringing as many new leaks and rumors about the upcoming games as they can. But one name still missing from all this was Spider-Man 2.

This much-awaited sequel from Insomniac Games has not got any updates so far. Although an industry insider hinted at the game’s arrival, fans did not have anything concrete yet. But now the developers of the game have come forward in a cryptic Tweet peaking the excitement of fans.

In a recent Tweet from Insomniac Games, they urged fans to be “Ready for anything!” along with a hashtag for Spider-Man PC. This tweet has since gone viral among fans, garnering nearly 600K views in just a single day!

The 2018’s Spider-Man sequel is a long time coming according to fans. They were highly disappointed when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was absent from both The Game Awards 2022 and the last Sony State of Play in March 2023. The last proof of work on the game was a trailer during the PlayStation Showcase in 2021.

Since then, it has been radio silence from the studio. Albeit when asked about updates, Insomniac Games asked fans to be patient and let them cook. With this cryptic Tweet, looks like the cooking process is complete and fans are ready to relish the new sequel.

However, this Tweet has very vague wording for the fans. It still did not confirm the game’s presence in the PS Showcase. Fans were confused about what they should be ready for, and many made the educated guess about the upcoming sequel. They posted their replies under the Insomniac Games’ Tweet.

But if the game would be announced anywhere, it will surely be at a PlayStation event. So the fans would have to patiently wait for the date of the PS Showcase to get some answers.
