The first season of the HBO TV series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us completely broke the internet. Furthermore, the TV adaptation of a hit game was a raging success, with 8.2 million tuning in to HBO’s streaming platform for the finale.
Despite its enormous success, the show received a lot of criticism for lacking video game action. Many fans even criticized the series’ cast and directors’ choices. While fans are hyping up about the Season 2 release, HBO has once again stunned its fans with the latest announcement.
The Last of Us submits 2 Cinematography Episodes for Emmy Consideration

Apart from its amazing storyline, The Last of Us is also famous for its popular cast and splendid acting skills. The series featured some of the most popular actors, such as Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal, and others. Owing to its immense performance, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if it gets nominated for Oscars or even Emmy.
Cinematographers Eben Bolter and Ksenia Sereda will be vying for Emmy consideration. The HBO TV Series will be fighting in the Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-Camera Series (One Hour) category. Considering the HBO TV Series’ splendid performance and enormous fanbase, it wouldn’t be shocking for the series to actually win the Emmy Award.
Interestingly, Bolter who has worked on episodes 3, 4, and 5 will submit the third episode, “Long, Long Time.” The Episode depicted a tender love story between apocalypse survivors Bill and Frank. Episode 3 was arguably one of the most popular and emotional episodes in the series.

Furthermore, it gave viewers a glimpse of a true love story under an apocalypse. Not to mention, several fans were in tears after the episode was aired. No one expected directors to showcase a romantic love story in a post-apocalypse world.

While Bolter has submitted Episode 3, Sereda has submitted Episode 1. Ksenia Sereda has worked on Episodes 1, 2, and 7. Episode 1 takes back viewers to the rising alert of the Cordyceps virus. Moreover, it’s the beginning of the post-apocalyptic world, where Joel loses his daughter.
It also showcases the journey of survivors of the apocalypse and one of the reasons behind the series’ immense success. With two of the most emotional and popular ‘The Last of Us’ episodes, HBO can actually win the Emmy Award for 2023.
