It seems nothing can go wrong, and in between all this commotion, Luigi’s voice actor mentioned somewhere that he would love to be a part of a Luigi’s Mansion movie. This was pretty much all the fans had been waiting for. And now, there are talks that the film is getting official soon!

The Super Mario Movie is classified as a fun movie focused primarily on providing the fans with a very good time. The movie, thanks to all the hype and its fanbase, has gone on to break a number of records, one of them being the best opening ever for an animated movie.

This is surely encouraging. So encouraging that they have already started discussing the Nintendo cinematic universe. Movies based on games like Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, and Luigi’s Mansion have been talked about. And it’s not even wrong to talk about those games; after all, the first one was a huge success.

And the movie has referenced and teased a bunch of characters. From Yoshi to Luigi’s Mansion, there was no shortage of such references; maybe they were deliberate, pointing fans in a direction. That being of the sequels and spin-offs. And now a recent leak suggests that makers are already discussing a movie based on Luigi’s Mansion.

The information came through a now-deleted Tweet. Reddit user DrAwesomeX had posted the same Tweet on the social network, but as it was deleted, the user wrote down the information. To back his claims, user EmberOnMain has posted the image in the comments. It appears it might be true, given the fact the effort to get it deleted was made.

These games usually star Mario’s little brother, Luigi, who is looking for Mario. Mario just vanished while visiting a haunted mansion, and now it’s up to Luigi to find his brother. A mix of comedic sequences and creepy music makes the most of this game. Luigi proves his bravery and worth by finally clearing the mansion of ghosts and rescuing his brother. This would surely make for an interesting premise for a movie.
