Ludwig Anders Ahgren, or simply Ludwig, is an ex-Twitch streamer who reached great heights of success due to his stream subathon. Ludwig gained a massive following and recognition after the end of his historic 30-day-long stream.
The number of subscribers and fans he had gained through this had made him the king of Twitch bank. It was such a huge feat that he still holds the record of the streamer with the highest active subs count.

But his throne was short-lived. On November 29, 2021, Ahgren announced he would depart from live streaming on Twitch, and moved to YouTube Gaming on November 30. Allegedly, this deal was worth millions of dollars, which probably compelled the streamer to jump ships.
But recently he posted a video on his secondary YouTube channel Mogul Mail, titled “Twitch is Better Than YouTube”. So after all this time, is Mogul regretting his decision of leaving his old platform?
Why does Ludwig think Twitch is better than YouTube?
In this video, Ludwig explains that in terms of technology, YouTube gaming is at least, “3 to 5 years behind Twitch.” Ludwig then explains this issue in great detail as the video progresses. According to him, the problem is the browser tab of both platforms. Twitch users’ home page and browser pages are much more polished and personalized, whereas it is not the case at YouTube.
The home page of YouTube Gaming doesn’t show which significant streamers are online or what games are people watching the most. Instead, the browser page is filled with streams and videos of children videos that parents play to keep their children busy. And even after sorting by region, the algorithm of YouTube is incapable of showing the streams from the user’s regions. Like when Ludwig tried to sort by region, the top video on his page was Japanese.
The YouTuber suggests a solution of his own
According to Ludwig, these issues are halting YouTube from becoming the most prominent streaming platform. The users aren’t getting the experience that they deserve. So as a solution, Ludwig suggested using Playboard a third-party website that allows users to experience YouTube Gaming and Streams much more easily and conveniently.

But the fact that people have to use third-party software to browse YouTube makes Ludwig very upset. The whole reason he made this video was to shed some light on the gleaming issues that YouTube is facing as a platform, and he hopes that his effort will help it grow and reach even better places.
