The community went head over the heels when a couple shared their Animal Crossing-themed Halloween. The costume gave a wholesome twist to the fan-favorite game and its platform console Nintendo Switch. It not only won them the prize of the best costume at a Halloween contest, but also the entire community’s hearts.  

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that has no limits. The game is a playground of creativity and ingenuity. And the fans prove it over and over. From designing amazing islands in the game to making real-world props and costumes inspired by the series, Animal Crossing fans can do it all. This time, an amazing couple won the hearts of the entire ACNH community with their adorable Halloween costume. 

The couple made a unique Animal Crossing: New Horizon-themed costume for the Halloween 

On the eve of Halloween, the world celebrated their favorite pop culture icons with their costumes. Some became video game characters, some movie characters, and others dressed as their favorite entities from other media. But rarely have ever anyone imagined being an Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo switch controller.

On Reddit u/schmek333 posted their picture, cosplaying as ACNH-themed Nintendo Switch Controller at a Halloween party! The costumes were custom-made. It looked like a very humble DIY project. But the couple won the crown for the “Cutest costume.”

The Costume had what seems like cardboard cutouts of the controllers hung with a string. They made custom hats with animal crossing symbols and motifs. They also brought a real shovel and an insect-catching net to complete the immersion. 

How did the fans react to the costume?

The fans loved the cosplay. They praised the couple’s creativity and ingenuity. The couple’s efforts were rewarded, as they won the “cutest cosplay” prize at the party they were visiting and the praises of the Animal Crossing community. Some of them even made jokes about “Drifting” as the controllers are notorious for it. 

Animal Crossing New Horizon is a social simulator game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch console. The game features events inspired by real-life occasions and holidays. Currently, it is celebrating Halloween month. Players can enjoy new Halloween-themed decorations, costumes, and much more in the game. Fans are making costumes, fan art, and decorations all Animal Crossing themed during Halloween.
