Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg is globally known as PewDiePie. The YouTube streamer has flourished marvelously on the success road by gathering over 100 million YouTube subscribers. Moreover, the streamer’s content video becomes an attraction for the community. But copying content is not something new in the content creation industry. And PewDiePie recites his experiences of such instances.

The infamous practice of copying content stands as an issue that shadows the uniqueness of one’s content. With the resembling tone and theme, the content videos might look bizarre to the viewers. Further, leading to a perplexing viewing experience. Nonetheless, PewDiePie addresses this issue while appearing on a podcast.

Recently, the Trash Taste podcast welcomed PewDiePie as their new cost. Hosted by Joey Bizinger, Garnt Maneetapho, and Connor Colquhoun, the podcast housed many topics related to gaming and the streamer’s experiences. But then came a segment by the name “YouTube Copycats” came up.

PewDiePie reflects on the content copying issue and states his own personal experience

In a two-hour podcast, the members exchanged laughs and views on certain topics. And as the podcast found itself concluding, Garnet initiated the thought of how everyone is trying to copy MrBeast. Which PewDiePie said to be a “whole section of YouTube.”

Under the same thought, Connor, another co-host, said, “It’s so interesting seeing the people who make videos about MrBeast or trying to get his attention which is such a weird genre of YouTube now.” Furthermore, Connor admitted, “the video is the exact same and they all sound indistinguishable it’s so bizarre, it’s like they’re all going for the same genre.” Talking of the video style, PewDiePie agreed with the hosts for it to be always the same.

Interestingly, Garnt asked PewDiePie, “Did you get a lot of PewDiePie knockoffs?” To which the streamer solemnly agreed. He said, “At first, I was kind of annoyed by it at the time but then I realized yeah no it’s fine everyone that’s cool. Everyone copies each other at some point.”

Surprisingly, Joey stated the point of time when playing the same game came under the light of copying. To this, PewDiePie replied, “Well the thing is like I would spend so much time trying to find like indie horror games, so if you found one that was like really cool and then seeing everyone else has played the day after you’re just like ‘ah come on yeah let me enjoy it for a day at least.’”

Therefore, it is undeniable that PewDiePie too faced such instances. Above all, it is acknowledgeable to see the industry being aware of such issues.
