What has fans concerned about these games is the progress they made. Warzone contained progress from Black Ops: Cold War, Vanguard, and the 2019 Modern Warfare. Since it contained progress from all these games, players hoped this progress would carry over to the newer titles. However, Call of Duty announced this would not be the case. It is a massive disappointment. Players invested a lot of money into skins in the game. They hoped these add-ons would be carried over.
There was a brief period during which streamers went their way back to Caldera. While brief, it shocked the community, since a lot of the player base was not too fond of Caldera as a map. It seems fans had their hearts set on Verdansky for a long time.
