PlayStation 5 is already in the third year of its lifecycle and the console continues to win hearts. Its raw power allows for a number of beautiful games to be made for it. And its DualSense controller has offered gamers an immersive experience altogether.

Although there have been some small complications, most fans have even found this game’s software satisfying enough. If it is not fancy enough, it is functional, and it is pretty user-friendly and practical. And Sony has now started adding some fan-favorite features to it too!

Sony to add two crucial features to PlayStation 5 Soon!

The organization Insider Gaming has reported that Sony has been planning a big software update for its PlayStation 5 console. This update alongside some stability and performance fixes would also include two features that cannot be brushed off as something small.

One of those features is full Discord Integration for PlayStation 5. As a matter of fact, players would be able to chat or make calls on Discord with their friends. Moreover, they would be able to partake in their favorite Discord groups even via PlayStation 5.

There’s no confirmation yet if it would also have that option to share gameplay via Discord. But what else would a full Discord integration mean, if they leave out gameplay share? Nevertheless, on the safer side, one must be closely connected to updates to be aware of any further developments.

Another big feature PlayStation 5 users can expect with this new update is cloud streaming of PlayStation 5 games. This means PS5 users would now be able to stream PS5 games on their consoles. It is being done to allow users to save some space on their consoles.

This feature has been in development for a while now, under the project name “Cronus”. But it would only be available to the subscribers of Playstation Plus Premium Tier.

Playstation Plus Premium is the most expensive tier of all and offers a bunch of PlayStation 4 and 5 games for users to download and play. The addition of this new cloud streaming feature would undoubtedly give this tier even more value for money.

Fans cannot wait for these new features to finally release!

All of these things would be making their way to PS5 on March 8, 2023. It appears this year is finally going to be the one where PS5 fans get pretty much everything they have ever asked for. A bunch of PS5-exclusive games, PS VR 2, and now Discord and Cloud Streaming! And fans just can’t wait, to say the least.
