Believe it or not, Kaijus are a real phenomenon in Japan. And mechas are a close second, and these things show up in their culture. They have found a way to relate that obsession of theirs to the recent launch of Nintendo Switch exclusive masterpiece The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Here’s an example of how some Japanese gamers broke all barriers in The Legend of Zelda.

The latest installment in the long-running Legend of Zelda series has broken boundaries of success that no one expected it to. And this game did that rightfully; its developers have indeed put a lot of effort into this game. They have added a bunch of new stuff and introduced a number of new abilities to make sure players keep finding new things to do in this game that many consider a rip-off of its own predecessor.
One of these new abilities is called Ultrahand, which can be used to attach things together and create various elaborate machines. Players have been building huge aircraft, vehicles, and even weaponry using this ability. But as is usual, the Japanese players have decided to do something very different altogether.
Some players on Reddit came across a video showing some Japanese players using Ultrahand to create a huge mecha. This guy first lined up a bunch of small wheels and attached them together. Then he placed a huge weaponized robot on it. This way, he effectively created a machine that is the bane of any monsters that might cross it.

This is evidence of what is possible when players are given enough freedom to do as they will. With such tools, players can build pretty much anything they desire.
Maybe this is the reason the Tears of the Kingdom game is being called the GOTY by anyone who plays it. Of course, there are some naysayers, but visuals do not matter when the game itself is the exact definition of fun. And fun is exactly what people are seeing in it when they call this game a GOTY.
