YouTube content creation has been a flourishing career prospect. On the other hand, rapping has been the talk of the town for ages. MrBeast, a prominent YouTube content creator on the stepping stone to becoming the first YouTuber billionaire, was interested in the opinion of American rapper DDG.

Rappers and YouTubers (or streamers), both deem to entertain the community. While the musical notes work for one, the content finesse works for the other. However, the question of ‘earnings’ does bring a tangent to the professions.

And DDG spoke on the subject of the earning comparison between the two genres.

MrBeast got interested in a comparison between rappers’ and YouTubers’ earnings

Recently, DDG tweeted, “ngl.. youtubers/streamers make more money than rappers & it’s not even close.” With pure transparency, the rapper stated his thoughts. And this caught the YouTube king MrBeast’s attention. To this, MrBeast summed up his reaction by simply saying, “Interesting.”

This stoked the fans into giving their reactions in the tweet thread. A fan tweeted, “A music album is a lot more passive though. You make it once and people listen to it forever assuming it’s somewhat good. YouTube videos peak pretty hard in the first two weeks and then get way less views in the future.”

Financial guru and entrepreneur Patrick Ben-David compared the earnings of MrBeast’s YouTube channel with a Super Bowl commercial. Estimating $5 million to be a Super Bowl commercial’s earnings, he went on to calculate it against the 17 billion views (at the then time analytics) on the MrBeast channel.

“Let’s do this together 17 billion views divided by 100 million (Super Bowl commercial views) because that’s what Super Bowl claims. So that’s 170 times 5 million bucks okay, minimum that that thing is worth 850 million dollars,” said Patrick.

To give a round figure, he said, “Add it to all the other channels that he has, I think he’s right 10 to 20 billion dollars the right number.” Thus, one can totally absorb the fact that MrBeast has huge bucks backing him.
