Video games are fun and everyone is a fan of them, even Hollywood stars. In fact, many of the renowned actors in the past few years have expressed their undying love for gaming. It seems like Samuel L. Jackson, the one and only Nick Fury of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and star of the upcoming Secret Invasion series, has been a huge gamer himself.

Not many people might be aware, but the Marvel’s Avengers star did reveal this secret many years ago. The incident dates back to 2012 when Samuel L. Jackson expressed his love for gaming.

Samuel L. Jackson made his MCU debut, more than a decade ago, with 2008’s Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr. Since then, he’s been an integral part of nearly every Marvel team-up movie and most notably the movies in the Avengers franchise.

His iconic role has become extremely popular among hardcore comic book lovers and moviegoers. Apart from acting, though, the he also has a good amount of interest in video games. He revealed this fact fact during 2012’s Video Game Awards show, in a clip on the YouTube channel GamerHubTV.

When asked about whether he liked gaming or not while growing up as a kid, Mr. Jackson had a great response to a reporter. “I played lots of video games while I was growing up”, he said.

“I started out when video games first started. You know, I was around when they had stuff you don’t even know. Pong and Space Invaders.” The actor clearly mentioned Pong among his favorite titles when he was a kid. He also said that he even broke lots of joysticks while playing.

Samuel L. Jackson was last seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. He will now make a big return with next year’s Disney Plus TV series Secret Invasion in Spring of 2023. Actress, Cobie Smulders, will also reprise her role as Maria Hill alongside Jackson as Fury. The release window was recently announced during the San Diego Comic-Con event.

Marvel is also gearing up to offer tons of video games apart from exciting movies and shows under the MCU. As of now, fans are waiting for the upcoming Midnight Suns title from Firaxis. On the other hand, the coming month will see the debut of Insomniac’s iconic PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man on the PC platform.
