Techland made a strong claim a few days back when it shared the expected gameplay duration for Dying Light 2. However, there was a lot of confusion among the players and fans regarding the campaign and side missions. To make it clear, the team then came up with another clarification-based update, breaking down durations for various styles of gameplay.
However, amid all the doubts and related chaos, the fun part was yet to come. Following the tweet about Dying Light 2 having 500 hours of playtime, another upcoming game decided to have a little funny battle with the awaited sequel. We are talking about Devolver’s Shadow Warrior 3.

Dying Light 2 mocked by Shadow Warrior 3!
While the tweet didn’t mention Dying Light 2 or Techland by any means, it was a direct giveaway for anyone to guess. As you can see above, the tweet read:
“Shadow Warrior 3 will take 500 hours to complete 60 times.”

So that’s a straight reference to Techland’s project. Although we know it may be in a funny manner. Because Devolver Digital’s titles are generally known to have a humorous tone. So this tweet might be another way for Shadow Warrior 3’s makers to tease Dying Light 2.
For those who don’t know about Shadow Warrior 3 much, it’s the first-person shooter sequel of its 2016 predecessor. Players will take on the role of the central character, Lo Wang. The protagonist has access to a huge set of weapons in the game in order to go against his enemies.
Shadow Warrior 3 is set in the fictional world and, as Lo Wang, players will embark on a new journey in this story, while tracking down and defeating one ancient dragon.

Coming back to Dying Light 2, then by now, it has gained enough buzz already, thanks to the 500-hour tweets. They will come in handy, though, when the game arrives next month. Because players will then test out the claims of Techland to see if the title really delivers or not in giving an overall playing time of 500 hours.
Dying Light 2 is launching on February 4, 2022 for PC, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming sequel? Are you excited for its arrival?
