But now it seems like Nintendo will surely give the much needed update on its upcoming projects through a special event. Yes, the Direct Mini is expected to take place later in the last week of June. So it makes sense to figure out what could be in store for the avid lovers of the Switch console.

When it comes to Nintendo-related news, Zach from the channel SwitchForce happens to be a reliable source. This time too, he came up with an interesting video discussing about the possible announcements for the Direct Mini.

To begin with, we have Pokemon Scarlet and Violet that could receive more focus from Nintendo. Yes, it has already witnessed several presentations, but they haven’t been fully extended, especially regarding the gameplay. Also, the Mario maker did reveal Pokemon-centric news in its previous Nintendo Direct Mini. So expecting a similar outcome this time makes quite a lot of sense.

Moving further, there is a chance of Donkey Kong getting a brand new entry. It’s a popular old series and witnessing a fresh installment will seemingly make the retro gaming lovers excited.

Mario Kart 8 DLC might receive a new update with the second wave of the Course Booster Pass. This one may turn out to be true given the fact that it’s been a while since the first wave was rolled out.

Speaking of third-party titles, then 2018’s blockbuster game, Red Dead Redemption 2, from Rockstar, might be announced for the Nintendo Switch. While it’s hard to pack all the features of this graphic intensive title in a device like the Switch, there have been several rumors claiming its debut on the handheld console.

Other third-party titles expected for the Switch include the likes of Fallout 76, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, and even It Takes Two. The latter won the Game of the Year award last year during The Game Awards show.
