Ever since the launch of the first God of War game, Kratos has become more than just a character. He is now an icon. He features in a number of games in the mainline series, from God of War 1, God of war 2, portable prequels Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta to the latest God of war 2018 and God of War Ragnarok.

People who don’t even play video games know who this hulky Greek God is. And maybe that’s why he has appeared in many first and third-party PlayStation games other than God of War.

From quirky to brutal, he has become everything. Long before he became a calm and collected father, Kratos was a fighter, a goofy pusher, and a Go Kart driver. Let’s take a look at Kratos’s best cameos out of God of War games.

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny

Soulcalibur is a long-running fighting game series with its main focus being weapon-based melee combat. So it was only natural for developer Project Soul to include this Blades of Chaos-wielding brute in their PlayStation Portable outing, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny.

Kratos was not just an add-on character, either. He actually had his own campaign story in that game. That is how you pay homage to a legend.

ModNation Racers

You must have heard of Blades of Chaos, Kratos’s legendary weapon of choice, but have you heard of the Kart of Chaos? Well, that is what people received along with Kratos when they pre-ordered ModNation racers from Game Spot.

This 2010 Kart racer had Kratos racing against the likes of Nathan Drake, Sackboy, and Ratchet and Clank to win in their customized signature Karts.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Do you guys remember PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale? Sony’s attempt at competing with Nintendo’s Smash Bros series? Of course, you do. It wasn’t half bad. It had well-defined mechanics and was different enough to be its own thing. It was released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita back in 2012.

And obviously, if you are reading about it on this list, it had Kratos, too, and he wielded his trusty Blades too. Fighting all of his costars in PlayStation’s first-party line-up, Kratos looked as badass as ever.

Even though none of these games were as mainstream as Kratos’s more regular outings, they were still awesome and as fun as any God of War game. And best of all, being able to play as Kratos in all of them was something different altogether.
