Nintendo has been going strong since the early 1980s, maybe even longer, it was the company that made video games mainstream. Not many parents would consider buying their kids video games to play at home before Nintendo Entertainment System hit the shelves. With those consoles came the games, games that did something new and different with every new franchise. Zelda was more explorative; Mario was a platformer and Pokemon was a straightforward RPG about catching weird monsters.

Nintendo has left behind a number of franchises as they have approached newer generations. So let us take a look at some of those franchises that we really want back.
Kid Icarus for Nintendo Switch
Kid Icarus started as a fantastical side-scrolling franchise back in 8-bit and 16-bit days. And Nintendo basically just gave up on the series for a very long time and then again made a game on Nintendo 3ds.
The 3ds title was developed by Masahiro Sakurai, the director of the Smash bros series. The game was released with positive reception and ever since, fans have been asking for more games starring this god with wax wings.
Star fox for Nintendo Switch
Gamers love dogfighting, dog fighting is so loved that developers of No Man’s Sky specifically added dog fighting to their popular space exploration title.

The genre has seen numerous games, Sine Mora, Ace Combat, and Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X are some examples of games that have actually done very well sales-wise. So it comes as a surprise that Nintendo has just pretty much abandoned their own dog fighting series starring a talking space fox.
The last game in the series was developed by Platinum games for Wii U, but it was not very successful due to its gimmicky controls. The weird thing is, unlike other Wii U games, Nintendo has not even tried bringing Star Fox Zero to Switch.

Earthbound for Switch

The only straight reference to that game is Undertale. It is said that the creator of Undertale was very inspired by the Mother series and developed this game.
