The $279.3 billion dollar Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, is always making headlines. Sometimes regarding his bizarre tweets and sometimes due to his personal life. It is also a joy to the gaming community when he talks about video games during various interviews and podcasts. That is what he did recently when he told the interviewers about his love for Elden Ring.
Elon Musk and his love for Elden Ring
Elon Musk is a huge video game fanatic. In an interview with ‘FULL SEND PODCAST’, Musk shared a lot of insight into his life and his views on various aspects of life.
During the podcast, Musk was asked about what game he was currently playing, to which he replied, “I just played Elden ring which was really great.” One of the interviewers questioned what Elden Ring is and Musk, while describing it, said, “Elden ring is a great game. It’s probably the game of the year. It’s a From Software, it’s like a fantasy game. I highly recommend playing Elden ring.”
This is not just a prediction from him as well. Elden Ring, as a game, has one of the highest ratings for any video game. And a comment on it being the probable game of the year from Elon Musk himself really tells a lot about its popularity. Notably, Horizon Forbidden West is one of the contenders for the game of the year award this year as well.
Elon had played one of the earliest consoles in history
During the same podcast, Musk was asked about his experience with video games as a child. To which he replied, “I was alive before there was even ‘pong’. I had a console before Atari (the Magnavox Odyssey) the original Atari. I had only four games. You can’t even add new games. You can like play only four games.”
The Magnavox Odyssey was the very first video game console ever made. Although it was not that popular in 1972, it still managed to sell 300,000 units by 1975 when its production was shut down. One of the games that were playable on that console was a tennis-inspired game.
