And while players await its release, some have already started looking to the future of the franchise.

An industry insider has recently come forward with an exciting rumour. A post is doing rounds on social media claiming that the Spider-Man 3 game will arrive in 2028 and will be available to play on the next PlayStation console.

Insider makes explosive claims about Spider-Man 3

Its predecessor was released in 2018 as a PlayStation exclusive. And its immense success ultimately led to a PC release. Now, the next installment of the series is set to hit the PlayStation 5 consoles worldwide on 20th October and fans can’t wait to play the game. Amidst so much anticipation in the community about Spider-Man 2, an industry insider has dropped a bomb claiming knowledge of the release of Spider-Man 3.

A credible leaker has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to state that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will launch in 2028. As if that wasn’t something big enough for the fans to digest, the insider has gone a step further to announce that the game will be coming to PlayStation 6. The leaker has a history of predictions regarding Spider-Man 2, which have all panned out. For example, Mary Jane’s new look, the map size, as well as Spider-Man 2 release timeframe.
