Formula 1 Legend Lando Norris captivated spectators in the dramatic Spanish Grand Prix race by showcasing his amazing abilities and achieving an incredible third-place finish on the grid. However, it wasn’t just his podium achievement that garnered attention from spectators and gaming enthusiasts.

Norris, who is well known for his love of video games, took the opportunity to thank his Quadrant Halo teammates during the post-race interview, demonstrating his commitment to both real-world racing and the virtual gaming world.

Norris earned the third slot on the starting grid thanks to his outstanding performance during the qualifying session on Saturday. It was a shocking outcome for Norris and the McLaren team, especially following a hard day on Friday, with Max Verstappen taking first place and Carlos Sainz coming in second.

Reflecting on the unexpected outcome, Norris admitted, “I definitely wasn’t thinking at all to be in the top three. But I’m very happy to be here, so a good day.”

An overjoyed Norris used the opportunity to thank everyone and offer a special thanks to his Quadrant Halo roster in a post-race interview. He praised his team for their unwavering support and commitment while beaming a bright smile.

Notably, he disclosed that he intended to support his “boys” as they competed in their scheduled match on the same day, despite his tiredness.

“I want to send all my best wishes to my Halo team. They have done very well so far. I’ll be watching them… I’ll be cheering them on!” said the bright star of F1 as he made his way towards his van. Norris’s gesture showcased his commitment to both the gaming community and his fellow teammates, highlighting the growing connection between Formula 1 and Esports.

And the cheers were actually potent as Norris’s team managed to take the crown against OpTic in a historical underdog win!
