The recently launched Final Fantasy XVI has surprised long-time fans of the series. The developers at Square Enix have taken a completely different route and made the game more action-inducing. Previous entries of the series had a far more significant RPG influence over them, which is minimally visible in this title. Earlier, Lebron James, along with other music stars and sports icons, had been titled a PlayStation Playmaker. A program that features a group of passionate fans from pop culture. PlayStation is once again pulling its clout and is leaving no stone unturned to promote the latest Final Fantasy outing.

A newly released promotional trailer for this PlayStation 5 exclusive title features stars from the entire spectrum of the sporting landscape.

PlayStation promotes Final Fantasy XVI with the help of an assortment of sports stars

With the launch of the new Final Fantasy XVI trailer from PlayStation, it seems Square Enix is targeting casual gamers on their console. The trailer starts off with professional soccer player Alphonso Davies trying out his hands on the new Final Fantasy game. The trailer then shifts to LSU Tigers and NCAA champion, Angel Reese. PlayStation does not stop here.

It brings in prominent characters from other major sports like the French F1 driver, Pierre Gasly, and San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle. WWE superstar Xavier Woods also makes an appearance in this trailer while duking it out in the ring. Olympic gold medalist gymnast Suni Lee and Brazilian soccer player Gabriel Martinelli join in to explain to fans what new features are coming with this new title. “It’s okay if you’re new too,” says Gasly, trying to persuade new players to join. Kittle explains further that players don’t need to play any older titles to understand the game.

Furthermore, the English soccer player Alessia Russo also makes an appearance, handing out a DualSense to Kittle. The trailer then intertwines with scenes of the game as all sports stars make an appearance, playing the title. The thrilling trailer showcased by PlayStation will definitely attract both enthusiasts and casual gaming fans to Final Fantasy XVI.
